We had an absolutely gorgeous meal. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and we couldn’t have chosen a better venue.Only staying in Climping for two nights, we chose the Oyster Catcher not knowing what we would be faced with. The pub is welcoming and inviting in smart but casual surroundings. The staff were attentive, friendly and polite without being pushy or insincere. Our meal was sensational, tasty Chicken Curry for him and Garlic Lamb Skewer for me. Fabulous! Thank you for making our celebration all the more memorable.

The food in this restaurant is delicious and tasty! The environment is very good, giving people the feeling of being in China. There are large and small tables, suitable for a family or a few close friends to eat. There is also a bar next to it, with darts and billiards. The proprietress is very nice and enthusiastic, and I will come again in the future.

This is a very famous restaurant among Chinese people. How can you not eat seafood when you come to Brighton? The waiters in this restaurant have a British sense of humor, and the seafood platter is very cost-effective. For the first time, I feel that there is still something edible in the dark cuisine of Britain.

Fine quality food served quickly and pleasantly. This is hard to do in a theatre restaurant but the Brasserie achieves it.

There are many restaurants in Brighton that serve delicious fish and chips. We found a restaurant closest to our hotel to enjoy a seafood feast based on the recommendations of good restaurants on the mobile phone website. I would like to recommend their signature dish, garlic mussels. Mussels are actually what we call mussels in China. Nicholas Tse has a special episode of "12 Tastes of Chef Nic" that specializes in mussels. Mussels are also mentioned many times in French famous dishes. When I was in China, I wondered if they were really that delicious. The reality is that they are really that delicious, and they are different from the way we cook them in China. The mussels here are relatively small, and the shellfish meat is white, not yellow. It is a typical British method, without any spices. The pot is also a simple black pot with a lid, without fancy plating shapes. The mussels are delicious, fragrant, tender and delicious. Based on the taste, I guess that garlic, butter, white wine and milk should be added. The soup also looks very good. It does not have the black feeling after the shellfish soup is boiled. It is white and mellow. We ordered five dishes in total. Fish and chips are a must, there is also a squid roll, eggs with fried fish balls, and some kind of grilled mackerel. The mackerel was two very small pieces. I remember there were six dishes. Afterwards, I thought that was all. The bill was 78 pounds (including tip), which was great value for money. This was also the first time I translated words on my phone after coming to the UK. Without the help of friends, I ordered dishes independently, and the taste was particularly good. I was very satisfied.

Always very friendly staff, nothing ever too much bother. We always bring the dog and they always have treats in a cup on the table and a bowl of water ready for him.
